"A bill authored by Rep. John Hall, the 19th District representative from Dover Plains, would authorize the most sweeping reform of the VA disability benefits system in a generation. It passed the House last week by a vote of 439-0. By the end of the week, a companion bill sponsored by New York's two senators, Chuck Schumer and Hillary Rodham Clinton, was introduced in the Senate, where it should also receive unanimous support. Indeed, any senator who rejects the bill should be hoisted by his flag lapel pin."
